So I am just posting as I go along. Feedback welcome.

I have moved what was my exhibit navigation page to the home page, as Jeremy Boggs suggested, in order to draw in visitors. I also changed the color palette to what I believe to be a balance of my previous color schemes. My logo is also spared down some, though I am not sure about the movie reel anymore. I played around with some other fonts, but I settled on Helvetica.
I used Paula Petrick’s tip on the engraving image in my sidebar navigation and I’m pretty happy about how it turned out. I am relying solely on this side panel and leaving out a header and footer because I think it makes for a more clean look. I might put a brief small copyright at the bottom.
Update: I have changed the proportions a bit. Thanks Sharon!

I like the engraving to the left and I like the History of the Senses mock-up to the right, but I am not sure about the two of them together…perhaps it’s the size of the engraving because I feel like they compete with one another rather than “complement.” How about reducing the size of the engraving? And I do think that including copyright information would balance out the page as well as bring credibility to the site. Just some thoughts…
By the way, I liked this design from Dr. Cohen’s class (in fact, as I mentioned in Jeremy’s class, that I like all of the graphics you chose; you have quite an interesting collection)!
